Planning Update

Dear Students,

I'm writing following yesterday's community message to provide a few planning updates:

*Summer term on-campus room assignments for approved students will be available this afternoon. All students returning to live on campus for summer term will arrive on Tuesday, June 22nd. Those students will receive information separately in the coming weeks about summer testing, quarantine and other details.

*Regardless of your enrollment pattern, if you've been vaccinated and haven't already done so, please remember to forward documentation of your completed vaccination to medical.records@dartmouth.edu, and sign your Student Vaccination Consent/Release form on your Health Portal so that your vaccination status may be shared with the College and included in our vaccination dashboard report. Vaccinated students have reduced testing and quarantine requirements.

*As we approach the end of the term and senior week, please remember that all students and all student organizations are subject to our longstanding Community Standards and Group Accountability Policy, as set forth in the Student Handbook. All students and all student organizations are also subject to this year's health and safety event guidelines at https://students.dartmouth.edu/student-life/student-organizations/student-eventsactivities-policy/student-event-and-activities-guidelines-2020 and to ongoing College health and safety guidelines. All students and student organizations are also subject to Town of Hanover regulations and those that apply in communities in the greater upper Valley. Hanover's mask wearing, gathering, permits of assembly, and other local regulations apply to all campus and local residents and to visitors, and are subject to Town enforcement. As is the case every year, College expectations apply to graduating seniors through senior week and Commencement.

*Information about the fall housing application process will be shared later next week, starting with a Housing intentions form that will enable returning students to indicate whether they plan to apply for fall housing. On-campus housing assignments will be available in early August, before fall course election begins. Fall arrival and planning information will be shared in late June and July as plans for full reopening continue to evolve.

*Undergraduates living locally, whether or not enrolled in classes, will be able to register for summer term access to College facilities (ie the libraries, Collis, the Hop, the gym, and studios/labs with departmental approval) through a simple registration process that will be shared in mid-June. Access to these facilities will be subject to compliance with all College health and behavioral guidelines. Residence hall access will be limited to those with on-campus room assignments, but access to dining venues will be extended through meal plans offered for those registered and authorized to be on campus.

Finally, if you need support in these last few weeks, please don't hesitate to reach out to your undergraduate dean, to counseling, to residential life staff, the Academic Skills Center, the Tucker Center, and the Student Wellness Center. If you are concerned about an exposure or an immediate health need, you can call 646-9440 24/7 to speak to a nurse. And, as always, if you have an emergency after hours, you can reach the dean on call and the counselor on call through Safety and Security at 646-4000.

We'll continue to provide planning updates as details become available. For now, have a safe and restful weekend.

All my best,

Dean Lively
