March 27, 2020 Update

Update from Dean Lively

Dear Undergraduate Students,

Although I realize that the last few weeks may not have seemed like much of a break, it is time to think about heading back into our academic pursuits.

Without a doubt, spring 2020 is going to go down in the annals as one of the most challenging - yet innovative - terms on record. It's going to take all of us - working as closely and collaboratively as we can despite the miles that separate us - to get through it. But get through it we will.

We are about to learn what it means to be One Dartmouth, because no matter where you are in the world right now, you are - and always will be – an important part of the Dartmouth community.

That said, those of us who have remained in the Upper Valley are working around the clock from our living rooms and dining rooms to help support all of you in your transition to classes.

Therefore, today's updates focus on preparing for check-in and term opening on Monday.

REGISTRAR INFORMATION AND FAQs: The Registrar's Office has posted an extensive list of FAQs, covering everything from general education requirements and the add/drop process to class lists. Please take a look and continue to monitor for additional information: https://www.dartmouth.edu/reg/202003_student_faq.html

TECHNOLOGY UPDATE: We have some new information at our Student Tech Check site to support the start of the term. We encourage you to activate your Zoom account before Monday. Further information can be found at the Student Tech Check site. See: https://services.dartmouth.edu/TDClient/1806/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=101369

ACADEMIC SUPPORT UPDATE: The Undergraduate Deans Office, Student Accessibility Services, and the Academic Skills Center continue to be available as always to support your academic success. They've also posted Remote Learning Tips that will be helpful to you as you begin classes next week - please review them now to help you prepare. You can find more information here:
