In the Division of Undergraduate Student Affairs, our vision is to to cultivate a vibrant and inclusive undergraduate community where everyone forms meaningful connections, embraces diverse perspectives, maximizes learning opportunities, and develops the confidence and resilience to shape their future and make a positive impact in the world.

For Every Undergraduate Student

Connect: Create opportunities for students to form meaningful relationships and build a sense of community. Students will:

  • Care for one another and respect diverse lived experiences.
  • Constructively contribute to campus and the community.
  • Develop skills to engage in conversations across differences with curiosity and courage.
  • Have places where they can show up as their authentic selves and are valued for their unique perspectives.

Learn: Maximize holistic learning and development opportunities in and out of the classroom, on and off campus. Students will:

  • Strengthen their skills and capacity as lifelong learners through co-curricular and experiential opportunities.
  • Take advantage of full and fair access to co-curricular, extra-curricular, and off-campus resources and learning opportunities.
  • Capitalize on opportunities to develop effective leadership skills, representing diverse voices.

Advance: Invest in divisional educators to support undergraduate students. Staff and DUSA leadership will:

  • Invest in talent acquisition, support, development, and retention.
  • Value and promote cross-departmental collaboration and research to align with institutional goals and leading practices.
  • Build a culture of assessment and reflection that strengthens our role as educators and informs institutional priorities.
