Communication & Awareness
Developing a multi-faceted communication strategy to keep all stakeholders informed about hazing is essential for community change.
- Website: A key part of our hazing prevention strategy is the development of a hazing website for all members of the Dartmouth community. Launched in 2021, the website will serve as a central place to learn about hazing and hazing prevention strategies.
- Advisors: Student organization advisors are an important stakeholder in preventing hazing behaviors, and should be involved in structuring positive and meaningful group activities.
- Campus Communication: Develop a communication plan for sharing information about hazing and hazing prevention to all members of the campus community.
- Hazing Investigations and Hearing Outcomes: Community Standards & Accountability provides information about hazing investigations and organizational hearing outcomes on their website.
- Dartmouth Hazing Policy: Dartmouth's Hazing Policy is a resource that provides definitions and guidelines for what could be considered hazing, information about reporting concerns, as well as possible consequences for engaging in hazing as defined by the College.
