Update for Students Living Locally Off-Campus

Dear Students,

This message is intended for any of you who will be living locally in New Hampshire or Vermont this winter. A number of you have asked about "registering" or participating in testing on arrival and throughout winter term. We will have more information for you about testing and how to schedule your appointments, but we need you to let us know that you should be on that mailing list.

To do that, we've made some adjustments to the local address field in Banner so that any of you, whether you are approved for on-campus enrollment and living off-campus, living locally and learning remotely, or living locally this winter on a leave term, can let us know now that you will be here. The simple instructions follow below:

  1. Log in to DartHub
  2. Click on the "Contact Information" tile
  3. Click on the "update address" button
  4. Enter your local address. The "update address" form, as always, provides a starting date and ending date. You can enter your expected local arrival and departure dates for the winter term, as of now.  You can update this local address field multiple times throughout the winter term, so if you choose to go home or move to another location you can adjust.

We do strongly encourage those of you who are living off-campus to align your arrival dates with the on-campus arrival weekend of January 16-17. That is a very strong recommendation to reduce risk of transmission in the immediate post-holiday period, but as you are living off-campus in private arrangements, that is not a requirement. We hope you will delay your return to align with your on-campus peers, but if you aren't able to do so, our goal is to enable you to test (at the College's expense), and we want to be sure to get you information later this month about how to do that.

Please note that those of you who have winter term room assignments don't need to do this, as we know you'll be here. And to all of you, please continue to monitor your Dartmouth email and the 20-21 winter arrival planning site for updates.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation, have a wonderful break, and all best,

Dean Lively
